Ég er langreið - I am (very) angry.

In Icelandic, langreyður is the finwhale. Then we have the word Reiður which means angry, and they're pronounced the same. So this design is both things at once: the fury of a species being hunted to the edge, and the anger the rest of us carry just watching it happen.

This illustration came from the kill reports Icelandic whalers are required to file after each hunt. The whales in those documents looked angry. They were right to be.

This is a solidarity piece. We're all part of the same planet, swimming in the same water. Their pain is ours.
